He who walks in mountain path
He who walks in river passage
He who walks in sea road
What did you see today?
Did you see grasses, flowers, butterflies, trees and mountain birds there?
Did you see water, ferries, fishes, and wet-fog there?
Did you see blue water, whales, sharks and gulls there?
You do not know all the things that you've seen there are
yourself and you call them others
Being Buddha, you are going out and out to seek for Buddha
To be losing your way.
오늘 너는 무엇을 보았느뇨
산길을 걷는 자
강길을 걷는 자
바다를 걷는 자
오늘 너는 무엇을 보았느뇨
풀과, 꽃과, 나비와, 나무와, 산새를 보았느뇨 거기에서
물과, 나룻배와, 물고기와, 물안개를 보았느뇨 거기에서
푸른 물과, 고래와, 상어, 상선과, 갈매기를 보았느뇨 거기에서
그대가 보았던 모든 것은 그대인 것을
그대는 모르고 남이라 하네
그리고 부처인 그대는 부처를 찾아
밖으로 밖으로 나가 길을 잃고 있네.
